"I think we are at the end
of the world as we know it."
"And this meshwork of relations that has held our bodies and given us pressure and gravity is losing its engine power. And so we're floating. We're lost. Our GPS systems aren't working.
What I think is required now is a sense of descent.
Is a sense of holding each other, is a sense of researching together, is a sense of inquiry that isn't premised on arriving at the usual value systems that we're used to, but is a willingness, a courageous willingness to follow along autistic pathways.
That is, my people would say, in order to find your way, you must become lost.
And there's something really powerful about that, that is held by your phrasing of, a wildly essential thing to do.
So I think we must investigate lostness.
It may look like art. It may look like grieving together. It may look like what I call a post activism, but I think there are spaces, queer spaces, opening up in the world right now that requires investigation."
